Grievance Redressal Mechanisms in Local Self-Government Institutions

There are mainly the following mechanisms for resolving complaints related to Local Self-Government Institutions:

1. ⚖️ Ombudsman for Local Self-Government Institutions

  • The Ombudsman considers complaints relating to corruption, irregularities, abuse of power, dereliction of duty, and similar matters in Local Self-Government Institutions.
  • Complaints can be filed against elected representatives as well as officials.
